Cisco Helps Lead the Lady Problems Movement In San Francisco

giphy

San Francisco, California. One of the most innovative and brilliant locations for tourists,  businessmen and women alike. Not only does San Francisco boast an incredibly diverse population, but San Francisco also breeds creative, experimental, and pioneering ideas that have propelled the city to become one of the top in the nation. From the Presidio to the Financial District, there is no shortage of variety when it comes to San Francisco.

We thought this was a perfect place for incubating great ideas, so we decided to bring our great idea (our Lady Problems hackathon series) to San Francisco. But we aren’t doing it alone. We are working alongside the worldwide leader in information technology, Cisco, to bring you our most impactful social good hackathon series yet.

Cisco is the largest networking company in the world, which designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment worldwide. The Cisco Meraki business unit, headquartered in San Francisco, is helping developers and aspiring developers in the community by offering developer learning labs and sample codes through Cisco DevNet . Cisco’s Meraki APIs are free to all customers and developers. Meraki provides developers with a free WiFi router and 24×7 technical support.

One item that we are extremely excited about is the Cisco Spark technology, which offers a collaborative messaging, meeting and calling service for teams and developers. Web developers can bring their favorite languages and use Cisco Spark APIs to write collaboration apps to create chat bots and Tropo , a part of Cisco, to create voice or SMS alerts in Cisco Spark or other third party apps. That’s not all. Cisco Spark for Developers  gives developers the tools to enhance the workflow of users around the world.
