When is hackwarsaw being held?
hackwarsaw is part of AngelHack’s The Global Hackathon Series and will be held on the 15th & 16th June 2024.
The Grand Winner of hackhcmc will be guaranteed a spot in The Global Hackathon Series Grand Finals happening in Singapore in October 2024.
Who can participate in hackwarsaw?
We want anyone with ideas or the passion to innovate to participate. With that said, having basic programming knowledge and skills could increase the chances of your team winning as a functioning MVP is required for project submission. All participants must be 18 years old and above as well.
When does the hackathon registration close?
Registration opens on 17 April 2024 and closes on 14 June 2024, 11:59 PM (GMT +2).
Will I need a team to participate?
Solo participants are welcome as teams can consist of 1 to 4 members. Therefore, you can participate alone or with up to three other individuals as part of your team. Fret not — we have carved out time on Day 1 of the hackathon to support team formation efforts. We highly encourage participants to form teams with others so that different skillsets and perspectives can be incorporated into your project!
You’re absolutely welcome to participate solo! However, it’s important to note that only teams can submit hackathon projects. A team can consist of 1 to 4 members. If you’re looking for a team or additional team members, we’ve allocated time on Day 1 of the hackathon specifically for team formation. We strongly encourage participants to collaborate with others and form teams during this period. Teaming up allows you to incorporate diverse skillsets and perspectives into your project, enhancing your overall experience!
Do all of my team members have to register for hackwarsaw?
Yes! Anyone who wishes to participate in hackwarsaw must register individually via Eventbrite.
How many challenge statements can a team submit their project under?
A team can submit their project under 1 challenge statement only during each hackathon.
What happens to the projects developed during the hackathon after the event?
Participants will wholly own the intellectual property rights to the projects they develop during the hackathon. There are no obligations for participants to share, license, or commercialize their projects. Your creations are yours to explore and develop as you see fit.
