In the fictional scenario of “Operation Guardian,” continuing from the storyline last year, our Guardians have successfully defended the nation from the threat of Red Land and NEXUS. In an effort to bring the fight to them, DSTA is developing an even more advanced automated defence system. These robots, now rendered fully mobile and functional, are planned to be capable of handling all kinds of missions, ranging from threat identification and elimination, intelligence gathering, to conducting covert operations behind enemy lines.

These increased responsibilities require drastic improvements in its system capabilities. The new Guardian Robot is an integrated defence system that now boasts object detection (OD), optical character recognition (OCR), text-to-speech (TTS), automated speech recognition (ASR), and autonomous navigation capabilities to provide a more comprehensive defence for the nation across land, air, and sea.

However, there is insufficient manpower for each of these robots to be remotely controlled by an operator. Therefore, there is only one solution: fully autonomous operation. This is where you, a talented AI engineer, come into play.

You are tasked with developing a versatile AI system to handle several distinct mission types, requiring being able to identify potential threats across land, air and sea environments (OD), send messages back to HQ using TTS, transcribe mission-critical spoken information from the environment, extract intelligence from the environment using OCR, and navigate autonomously through novel environments.
