Hackathons shouldn’t be a one-off, only-for-a-weekend thing. People form teams and build amazing apps in just 24 hours – imagine what they could do if they put that amount of energy into a project for weeks, months or years afterward.
Well, that’s where the HACKcelerator comes in.
In case you’re wondering, HACKcelerator is a 12 week pre-accelerator program for our AngelHack hackathon winners. We hook them up with local mentors, a co-working space, and weekly speakers featuring top Silicon Valley mentors.. everything needed to go from app to startup.
After it’s all said and done, we fly everyone to San Francisco to participate in Silicon Valley week, a week full of pitch training. Finally, at the end of the week, we take them to Global Demo Day, where they’ll pitch their ideas to Silicon Valley investors and media.
