AngelHack is proud to announce that Founder and CEO, Sabeen Ali will join the judging panel at the Code for Cuba Hackathon Sunday April 26th at Facebook Headquarters in Menlo Park. Judging alongside Ali will be some highly credible representatives from Stanford, Google Ideas, Facebook, Manos, Yahoo!, Salesforce, Latino Startup Alliance and 14ymedio.com.

Code for Cuba, organized by EveryoneON, Facebook, Google, Salesforce, Twitter and Counsyl is a hackathon dedicated to innovating Cuba and finding ways to circumvent restrictions that have been placed on the flow of new technologies. As a global technology innovation company that has roots in change management, AngelHack is poised to play an integral role in this initiative.

When asked “how can AngelHack help tech innovation in Cuba?” Ali said, “ultimately, what we want is to learn more about them and whether they want to use technology to innovate, we want to know who they are as a culture and as individuals, what they do, what their goals are and we want to educate them on who we are, what a hackathon is, and it’s benefits.”

She went on to say, “hackathons are a way for change; one of the many ways that people, corporations, and products can create change within their culture, and it seems that it is one of the methods of change that individuals inside and outside Cuba want to use to insight change.”
